Alexa Meade measurements, bio, height, weight, shoe, and bra size
The shadows that she noticed on the lawn inspired her to work for months on an approach that does not, however, paint the selected object onto canvas. The object becomes a representation that is its own and the canvas carries the painterly interpretation of the object, especially in the case of a living object or perishable like people or fruit. Alexa Meade's works are fleeting however the photograph is what remains. The painting and photography techniques are tightly coordinated, resulting in a flat two-dimensional space that achieves trompe l'oeil. The only areas of the photo such as the hair, or eyes, reveal the 3D dimension. Sometimes, Meade integrates her painted models into the 3D world around them, allowing them to interact within their own self-created environment. By doing so, Meade has removed the borders between photography, painting and performing.
