Dua Lipa is an English singer-songwriter was born in London on 22 August 1995. The self-titled debut album was released in 2017, after she signed with Warner Bros Records. She is the daughter of Kosovo Albanian parents Anesa Rexha and Dukagjin Lipa. She has Bosnian descent through her maternal grandmother. Her family tree can be traced back to the Kosovo town of Peja. The two grandfathers of Lipa were historians. They have a brother Gjin Lipa, and a younger sister Rina. Her father, a musician and lead singer from the Kosovan group Oda was a major influence on her music. The first single she released was New Love was released in August 2015.
